Default Servo Problems...

Hey all, I have a problem with my servos. The problem is that when a lot of pressure is applied to the servos, it stops the ESC from moving the motors. Has anyone had this problem and what can I do about it? The servos have more then enough torque. They are digital servos and have 160 lb torque. So it baffles me why they are struggling and even mor that they stop the motors from working. any help would be great! Thanks!

your esc can't handle the amps or whatever they are the servo's are pulling there fore taking away the power to the motors, try putting some cheap servo's in a see if that fixes it then you found your problem, thats y on my clod i'm going to run a y harness 2 esc's and 2 batts, and a y harness for the servo's to.good luck

Digital servos draw more current then analog, some ESC have a build in current limiter that can't handle 2 digital servos. Easiest solution is to add a receiver battery.

I had the same problem when I put in digital servos but after I added the receiver battery I didn't have any problem anymore.

Oh. Great!! Thanks. I may just switch them out with analog then since it's a crawler, I don't want to add the weight! Thanks again!!!

Wel, I switched out the servos and actually, it got worse! But i put a Reciever pack on there and WOW! What a difference! I wouldn't think it would have made a difference but I guess while running in Parallel and having 2 motors and 2 servos, you put a lot of draw on your 7.2 vlt batt. I have 2 Integgy motors on order so hopefully with them I won't need the extra weight pack... Thanks for the tip! G.
