Default Setting up rock crawler

I have a clod crawler that i just recently bought, as you see in the pic its not too bad, i do have one problem though it just wants to lean to one side all the time, and when this happens i can't turn the other way, i don't know what to do to set it up correctly hopefully with your help i can get it going. I am in the process of making the links longer, but if anyone has any ideas where i can get some that would be great. LMK The diffs are not locked yet i plan on doing that this weekend, and also putting an extra servo in the rear for 4WS. If you could please help me out guys. Thanks

I can't really see how everything is setup but i believe for the suspension geometry to be right the upper links need to be connected closer together for the suspension to sit right. Then again, i'm no expert on this.

drevil nailed it. You didn't triangulate your links. Your upper links should meet at the center of the gearbox. This will keep the axles centered instead swaying from side to side like yours are doing now. There's several mounts you can buy to do this or you can devise your own. Here's a few:

Yep, the upper links are your problem.

Youll need to get a set of upper link mounts for your gearbox's, I like the Inet ones cause they come in different colors, but Ive also got a set of the thundertech mounts which seem to be made better.

Once you get them in youll need to move the upper links to the inside part of the chassis, and connect the other ends to the gearbox mounts. The triangulation is gonna screw up the caster though, your gonna have to either get some longer upper links or shorter lower links, unless your chassis has adjustable mounting points.

Also youll need to move the shocks to the lower links for it to all function properly.

This is how the links need to be mounted \/

Yes it is a 4 link. I guess I will just have to switch it over so the upper links connect to the middle of the axle, I did extend each link by 2 inches yesturday, it looks a lot better, crawls better too. Thanks guys.

Here are some pics after I made my own links, I have extended them 2inches now and it looks alot better, I have my lathe motors on order, and my upper link mount. I also added 4ws to have more of a turning radius alot better now. Well hope you like the pics. I am looking for some t maxx wheels with some k rock tires on them or something that isn't as big as what i have on there now. I have the stock clod tires and the monster pirate tires and they are just too big for me. Well let me know what you think. Thanks
