Nice truck. I saw a revo at a local track this weekend and couldnt believe how well it handled. It blew away a savage that looked much faster.
That thing looks sick, and expensive. RCCA has one in their current issue that has all of the goodies on it....$2200!!!!

did you even watch the vid, nitro crawler suck, they used prepetual motion to get over those crappy rocks, i guess they figure if you go fast enough you can get over anything

how can nitro suck for crawling? its more realistic than electric. i would think it takes a whole lot more skill with nitro than electric. does a real off-road truck just slowly climb rocks and hills? no! it jumps and skips, burns clutched , and breaks stuff. its more realistic therefore better! electric just seems cheesy to me. just my 2 cents.

The problems with running a nitro as a rock crawler are that they dont have the instant torque you need, but the bigger problem is that nitro engines are built to be air cooled from the truck running at speed. In rock crawling you are going very very slow which means the nitro motor gets no air flowing over it.
Either way who cares? If somebody wants to use nitro for a rock crawler let them. To each his own.

just because your not getting air flow doesnt make the engine reach high temps. the nitro acts as a coolent , so it doesnt depend on airflow. dont get me wrong airflow cools it down but its not necessary. and for torque, if you lock the slipper down, lower the gearing and lock the diffs, you will have all the torque need. so how does it lack torque?

This is pretty funny... your race maxx will smoke a crawler over any hill... ok.. lets see your race maxx climb up a set of standard stairs. I agree NITRO does rule.. just not for crawling... I race 8th scale buggies and 8th scale trucks... and $10 says my truggy will own your race maxx

lets see your crawler...

I saw this a long time ago. Decent atempt at a nitro crawler, but just like all other nitro crawlers, it has major problems actually crawling due to lack of torque at low speeds, among other things.

Ive actually been thinking about getting a revo (not for crawling, just bashing), but considering the major problems my T-maxx has, I dont think I want anything traxxas for a long time. UNLESS I can get a really good deal on a revo roller.
