go to rccrawler.com and look at the Nylint section. There's a thread there that shows all the modifications being done including inboarding the shocks. Don't bother posting there...those guys aren't very nice.

Here are some more pics of the ***Nylint Hummer***.
I bought the 1:6 Hummer on e-bay for $20 and a 1:6 Scorpion @ Walmart for $30, cut out the entire under carriage and with a few modifications I adapted it to the Hummer body. Fit just like a glove! Now I can take off/on the body just like the Scorpion's body that it originally came with. In addition, I installed a head & tail light kit, and although the light bar works I'm going to change the 4 purple LED lights that it came with to bright white LED's. That should do the HUMMER justice!

For those that have painted their trucks..... how have you gotten your paint to stick? I painted mine and it just won't stick to the body.

Tip #1.......sand ALL the shine off the parts that you are going to paint with 220 sand paper.
Tip #2.......use interior car paint for dash and panels as primer or as final finish. Sticks on really good and does'nt scratch off as easy as regular spray paint does.

How is the steering? Better than the Wal-Mart Wrangler?

The steering can be better, it has to be moving to turn.

Sounds the same setup as the Wal-Mart Crawler then.

They are a great deal at $49.00!

We have purchased a few...........ok..........more than a dozen so far.
Various bodies and chassis generations.
Also have bought every tire pack ($5.00) and battery ($7.00) we can find.

I have sold a few of the bodies for $25.00 and have now started parting out the other stuff.
