Default protecting against the elements..?

Is there a good way to protect my nylint 1:6 from the ever so troublesome thing we call "water and moisture" from getting in the chassis and (or) any other sensitive area? Is it possible for me to seal whatever needs to be sealed with some kind of permatex or something?
what would I need to do around the axle's? What ALL would I have to seal? I want to be able to take it outside with atleast a little confidence that it wont get wrecked right away. Any info on this would be kewl! Thanx....
