A few recent shots of some of my rigs.
Ralph
Some shots of him gettin' beat on.
Made it back to the parking lot with three wheels, a crunchy front servo and a blown rear diff. All in a day's work. "thumbsup"
The FJ
Defender 90 body on the FJ chassis.
Flopped it here. Was trying to carry a tire through the line. Drove it out.

skidplate, that's just a few shots from a day of crawling but I did like one of the FJ pics so much I decided to use it in an upcoming article.
xXBlAcKlAbElXx, Dave Pack built the frame that's on the Rockstar rig. 3/16" cromoly tubing. Solid!

RE: A few recent shots of some of my rigs.
Some pics from Sunday.
Roy (P47Tbolt), Alan (FastZ14), and I headed to Pointes West this morning. Met up around 7AM and crawled until about 11:30 (I had to go to work).
Some shots from the day...
When Alan and I arrived Roy was already crawling with his P4.
I put the camera away for about 2 hours so I could shoot video.
When I broke out the camera again Alan took Ralph for a ride through some soupy stuff.
Once we'd had enough of the soupy crap we headed back to the rocks. Here Alan is convincing Ralph to float a tire without rolling.
Alan started getting the hang of driving Ralph and found that throttle can be your friend.
Roy snapped an axle before Alan and I could get two rigs ready for the rocks and since none of us thought to bring spares his TLT was done for the day. Luckily I brought a spare rig. Say hello to the Tracer.
TLT Vs. Digital Camera. TLT wins.
I broke out the Rover and we started doing the trail ride thing. I led the group and took pics while driving.
Rover dropping in...
Rubicon drops in....
Ralph somehow managed to make the largest tires of the day nearly disappear in the water. [X(]
Alan took the wheel of the Rover. More tire floating fun.
As we wrapped up the Rover drove off into the "sunset"
Damage tally:
Roy broke an axle housing before Alan and I were ready to hit the rocks.
...then he literally drove the wheels off the belt drive.
...and then there's Ralph. Ralph ended up on his lid in the water. This wasn't so bad but instead of flipping him back over I reached for the camera. Somewhere between impact and image is when the receiver got swamped. Need to dry out it out and see if it still works.
Had a blast today. Need to get out there more often on Saturdays.

Nice shots, your quite the photographer. You have quite the collection to.
What kind of rig is Ralph and the light blue Toyota?
I am looking to get into crawling and want a single motor drive crawler.
Thanks

hey jason where did you get all the scale accessories on your truck bodies? Like the gas can, shovel, roof rack (is that the proline one?), and other stuff. I want to make a scale looking rubicon body for my TLT so it would be sweet to have accessories like yours on the rubicon.

Some can be bought, but most, like the trucks they ride on, are custom made. As to where to buy... the only place I have seen is MSD (MontanaScaleDesigns.com) but I know there are others.
JIA: Any chance of seeing some of your newest Ralph buildup here on RCU?? Or do you save all your best stuff for RCC? Either way, you do great work.

The roof rack and Hi-lift jack are from Montana scale designs.
You can get the shovel from http://onesixthdepot.com/
ACS I'll have to put up some shots of the new Ralph once he's done.

IS that FJ-40 body custom made? What chassis is it on? Brings back memories of my old '76 which looked a lot like that but baby poo brown... I'd LOVE to build a crawler that looks that that old rig!

The FJ is a discontinued Pro-Line FJ40 body.
They no longer have the license to produce the FJ bodies so they recently released a "Bushwhacker" body that closely resembles the FJ.
