It will be a good trail and slow fun 5-10mph. You will enjoy building and learn specifics of crawling through trial and error. HOWEVER MY CON WOULD BE THIS THING WOULD EXPLODE IN A WRECK AT HIGHER SPEEDS. Sorry for caps. All the chasis links are not made for cintrifical force or momentum movements at higher speeds, thus the reason for this market. I think maybe a Clodbuster or Wheelie King 4x4 is more in your needs.

Yes possibly a clod. A WK would need a tad more to be a trail truck then a clod would. And by trail I mean scale.. It may not be the same thing you guys are talking about. I can say one thing though, the WK is REALLY durable.

If I were looking for a trail rig that can also be used for occasional crawling, I would look at the new CR-01 from Tamiya.

It's pricey, but man is is sweet, I plan on picking one up soon.

I thinking (hoping) the price will still drop a little more as it comes closer to market. I really want one too.

The new Tamiya CR-01, the Tamiya Highlift, or a HPI Wheely King with mods make great trail trucks.

The explosion factor at high speed of an AX-10 isn't that great: http://youtube.com/watch?v=fJS4c36tcjs
