Hi guys,
just new to r/c trucks. I purchased a used rustler in August, and now going for another purchase. Can regular trucks be converted to rock crawlers or do you have to buy them as rock crawlers? Your comments please.

You atleast need a truck with axles... Like a WK or something along those.
I picked up a WK and built a crawler from that. Made for alot of fun doing the build. But now have took apart and am into other rc trucks so maybe selling it.. Good luck and have fun

Savages really aren't crawlers. They are great trucks! DOn't get me wrong! But not much for major crawling. Trucks like the Axial 10 and the Cliff climber or the Losi mini crawler or CLod Buster, or like myself the Tamiya TXT 1. Those are more of what you would make a crawler versus a Savage or T Maxx or even a Revo. I'm not saying that those trucks can't crawl but they are made more for speed and bashing then slow powerful crawling. That's my $.02
