First off, I want to thank my sponsors! Kamikaze Kustoms, JP Custom RCs, Panther Tires, and Team Brood for their fantastic support!

THANKS GUYS![>:]

I started by tearing down my 08 Zero 3.5 and rebuilding the front axle. I'm adding the KK Delrin high clearance tie rod so my old set up came off. I removed the Fubar lock out from the rear and used them to lock my front knuckles. This makes marking the new hole locations on the front knuckles much easier! After I had the holes marked, I drilled the holes and removed the excess material from the knuckles.

Next I opened up the axles, checked all the bearings and re-lubed the gears w/ Rocksmith's gear jelly (I love this stuff) and then closed everything back up and reinstalled my 08 Warrior motor until my Team Brood 35t Warrior IIs show up!

Here are a few pics, nothing exciting really.

Pic of the knuckles after being modded to use Kamikaze steering link.

Little closer shot.

Front shot.

Looking down on the front.

Now, I'm just waiting on parts.

No, the Delrin will remain white.

What are you referring to?

That swirl, its the black hole of crawlers, everything crawler related gets drawn to his workbench. What you see is something else emerging from the vortex.

I'm amazing that what isn't there gets so much attention as opposed to what is there.[>:]

Well, I got to work on my Meat tonight, I removed the Fubar lockouts to use on my Creeper so I needed lockouts. Shot Jarrod a call from JP Custom RCs and had a set of his lockout on the way.

When they arrived, I checked they out and I really like them. They are very well made and slide onto the rear axles w/ ease.

I was afraid that they might hang down to much, so out came the mic and it turns out that they only are only 1mm larger than the stock knuckles on each side.

Here are a few pics of the lockouts.

Mounted on the axle.

Then I mounted the rear axle to the chassis. I'm still getting used to not having a LHS, so I'm still waiting on a few of the red links. These will do for now.

Side view

And they obligatory flex shot.

Again, nothing spectacular, just transferring parts for the most part. Hope to start on the electronics tray and my new DIG switches tomorrow.

How are those links holding up for you?? I witnessed several sets of the black ones breaking during the Southern AZ Winter Shoot-out this past weekend. Are you going for the full torsion or do you have plans for a hybrid sprung rear and torsion front?? And how much "pop" or "boing" effect does that chassis have when coming out of a hard bind??

And there is that mysterious swirl again...........

I've run these lower links all of last year and never had an issue w/ breakage?

The Zero T is a full torsion chassis and I will run it as such. As for the rebound, it seems to not have the same spring effect as some other torsion designs.

Few videos of it in action.

As for the swirl, just a project I'm working on for a friend and don't want him to see it if he happens onto this thread.

thats an interesting approach to torsion-usually they bend vertically- i like that idea.
