I'm looking to get a crawler but i have no idea where to start... anyone have some advice/help?

You might try ebay as well. Theres a lot of ebay sellers with very reasonable prices.

look at the Axial AX-10 most beginner friendly crawler around, and is a com crawler too after you put some time into it...
