Steering servo on a tight budget
I am considering a replacement of my Tower Pro 995MG... which in hind sight was a bad idea. That Chinese servo is G-A-R-B-A-G-E!
I am now considering Futaba 3305 and anything else with metal gear at or below $40. What about the 125 in-oz servos out of Traxxas E-Revo... there are a lot for sale on EBAY.
Any advice is appreicated... please do suggest a $90 HiTec.. [img][/img].. thannks.

you know... I have been hearing good things about the PPP servo. I wish I had bought instead of the Tower Pro. I will give it a try... thanks.

I have learned over the years that going cheap on the steering servo is usually a bad idea. If funds are tight just wait a little while until you can afford something like the Hitec 5645 MG servo, it's around $55 and has 168 oz tq @6v. I have one in my OFNA buggy, Savage, and SC10 and have never broken one.

For $35 its hard to beat the hitech 645mg. Its not as nice as the 5645 but its metal gear and fairly high torque especially for the money. If you can't hold out for a 5645 then I would look at the 645mg.

I bought the Hitec 645MG.... I am told that HOBBICO are re-bagged Hitec. If you look at the CS-70 is appears the 645MG. Again the CS-170 appears to be the Hitec 7955TG.
Of course, I could be totally WRONG.
