Default Shortening wheelbase

I would like to know what work does it involve to shorten my SCX10 wheelbase. Can it be done with readily available parts from axial? Or i have to cut or fabricate links myself? Wouldnt like to mess with my stock links so i can go back if required. Not sure if i will do this but if i go for a landy hard body i will have to since thesehave a shorter wheelbase.

The easiest way to make your own links is to get some aluminum tubing and some all-thread. You just cut the tubing to the length you need and slide the all-thread through and cut it a little longer so you have threads sticking out each side. Instant links!
