first of all, I have no experience with the 1/8 scale rockslide, but I own a 1/10 scale version. Please enlighten us...how is there ZERO aftermarket support? For the 1/10 scale version you can use pretty much any body, servo, radio/receiver combo, 380 size motor, esc, moa chassis, shocks, and aftermarket wheels/tires...not to mention if you're creative enough you can either make your own parts or mod plenty of existing parts and they work just fine. To me, that hardly sounds like zero support. I imagine for the 1/8 scale rockslide you can most likely use plenty of existing super parts as well. The only thing the rockslide doesn't have are the fancy aluminum parts available in 10 different colors like axial offers. As for the "you get what you pay for argument"...I'm pretty happy that I spent roughly $300 INCLUDING upgrades for my 1/10 scale redcat and have a rig that does just as good, if not better in some cases than the "better" rigs out there rather than spend $239 for a stock axial, then have to dump another couple of hundred into it just to have something that I won't get frustrated with.
