RE: Rock Crawling Gallery Thread

I have been wanting to make a crawler for awhile now. I have read how-to's from the net and most of them say to leave the foam out of the tires so the tires flex more. From these pics it doesn't look like this has been done. Is it true that there should be little to no foam in the tires when creating a crawler so it gets better grip on the rocks.

Woah, I didn't realize that RC Driver has been paying this much attention to Rock Crawlers! I just re-subscribed after having let my subscirption lapse a year ago. Here's my TLT crawler after 8 months of refinement...

Great exposure on that waterfall shot! [8D]

I've been writing about RC crawlers in RC Driver for...over two years now on a regular basis.

As soon as I got Greg to go for it I started putting them in. [8D]

Great thing is that I don't write about it 'cause they tell me to, I write about it 'cause it's WHAT I do...if that makes sense.

If you like crawling, wait until you see the January issue! :D

Since this is a gallery thread, here's a few recent pics of mine:

Man, that FJ40 is unbelievable. I thought it was a real truck at first glance. One of the best looking RC's I've ever seen.
