hello! i just got a new sailboat and it has mylar sails. well the problem is that i dont live on a lake so i have to transport it. i was scared i was going to scar the sails.......so i went to my local lumber yard and $50 worth of hardware, oak and 2 hours later........vualla!!! a sweet hard sail case with enough room for extras including the stand!

Looks like a good job to me, Scotty, and well made! Stain it and get some polyurethane on it to keep the uglies away and you'll be fixed for life.
Or if you get tired of it, let me know and I'll send you a shipping address.

thanks guys! wood work is my second hobby or job thats right its my job i forget that somtimes!
im going to stain it and poly it but i wanted to test fit everything first. oh and if you sand it when its together before you stain and seal it it looks very seamless
. like one block of wood! just a tip! but then i just reliezed this is RC universe and not woodworking universe!!!

There are probably guys who would buy custom cases for their boats, Scotty. They are a bit hard to travel with and something pretty much "airline proof" might sell to several guys. Possibly sell the cases "in the rough" to keep cost and work down and let the buyer paint or stain it to suit themselves.
Just a thought.

good thought!! i am open to requests. i will be more then happy to build a box or three for anyone who wants for a nominal fee (shiiping is your responsability). i have access to some diffrent wood. mine is oak but i looked at birch, walnut, maple, i even looked at curly maple but my box would have cost over $100. so if anybodys intrested let me know!
thanks Scotty
BTW--- im now building a box for my electric helli so i can take it on a plane!
