Default quality control issue

It's been rather windy here, and I haven't been able to run my aquacraft supervee lately, so today I picked up a Paradise sailboat. All in all, I was fairly impressed with the boat at first...The rigging lines were good braided material, the mast and spars were of good quality, and the hull is made of fiberglass.

It was probably a little too windy today to actually sail this little boat (12-16mph with gusts up to 20), but I took it out to the pond anyways. Aside from heeling flat on the water if the sails were trimmed in more than a broad reach on any point of sail, I noticed that the boat had a severe tendency to always turn. I initially chalked it up to too much wind, but tonight when I stripped the boat down to remove the "railing" and fill in the holes and repaint (just for kicks), I noticed that the centerline of the keel did not line up with the centerline of the hull. As best as I could tell from eyeballing it, the keel centerline ever so slightly intersects the centerline of the hull diagonally.

Is this a problem? I used to have a Victoria, and I don't recall how straight the keel was, but I don't ever recall it doing what I described above.

Should I give the manufacturer a stern call, or just not worry about it?

I would submit a review of this boat in the proper section of R/C Universe

Hi

Which Paradise sailboat.

Do you have a link to a site or a manuf and model name.

It might be one to look at or avoid.

It is an aquacraft paradise. I'm leaning towards avoiding it.
