sailing again
Well just came back from a little sailing with my North wind 28, first time in about 2 years. I had forgotten how relaxing it is. I was out for about 3 hours. The wind was a little flukey but it was still fine. There were a few guys flying control line aircarft in the feild behind me They got maybe half a dozen flights in the time that I was there. It was nice to just be there knowing that they had to cool down and refuel every 6 minutes and I just kept tacking back and forth.
So what type of lines are better to use I just have what came in the kit but I think that the lines are stretching a little to much. Any in put would be greatly appreciated.

One word...spectra 90lb...ok two words, one word , one number???, anyhow get something around 80-90lb spectra line from your fishing tackle shop...zero stretch, very small diameter and you can get quite a variety of colours if you are into the colour coding of sheets thing!.

RE: sailing again
The evil empire (wally world) has Ugly Braid braided fishing line. Some stores have it on clearance for $5.00 for a 125 yard spool. 20lb test is about the same thickness as 4-6 lb monofilament. It's very slippery, and has very little stretch. Loop it through the bowsies one extra time if youre afraid of it slipping. You can prestretch it by cutting a piece longer than you need and suspending it with a weight on the bottom (small 3-5 lb dumbells work great)
