It's been a while since I posted an update- but it's taken a while to clean up the inside and coat it with epoxy resin... but that's done, now I'm ready to start doing things like setting up the mounting for the keel fin, installing the rudder and radio gear. Then I can get on with the hatches and decking.

Looking very good. Now comes the fun part.
I see you have a helper checking to see if you are doing it right, LOL

Yep- That's Oreo, my head QA inspector... she makes sure the resin is dry.
You're up awfully early!!

Oreo looks like my Emmy, my previous quality inspector... That boat's lookin' fine, as I'm sure Oreo would agree!

Tonight I drilled the holes for the fin. I have 3 pairs of holes drilled, running the range of keelfin distances Star's have been built with, over approx. a 1-1/2" span... I will build 3 pairs of tubings into the keelbox, so that I can locate the fin in any of 3 locations to trim the boat.
I still have to finish sanding down the fin- then fiberglass it. Will stain it maple before 'glassing it- to more closely match the cedar hull.
