Default SBD Gear??

Anyone got any suggestions for the sweetest gear out there for a Ziroli Dauntless? I'd like to have some nice scale struts & good retract mechs. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

I got the Robarts for my Dauntless and they're really nice. They are very robust and operate smoothly. I have Robarts on a giant Ziroli P47 and a Corsair and they have worked flawlessly. Check my thread called "Ziroli Dauntless Project" under the warbirds forum. I have some pictures of them near the beginning of the thread.

Jim's right... I've got the Robart's for my Bates SBD. I think they're the same gear design, mine are just smaller (1/5.5 scale). They're really nice and quite accurate. A little pricey though, and it took a good 6 weeks to get mine. That may be because they were an oddball scale.

Here's pics and docs on the installation of mine...
