lighter fluid will allow you to remove the halves wing and tail. CA remover will take off the decals and isopropyl alcohol allowed to soak will remove most of the paint. I made the cowl panels and hatches out of paper. The paints are acrylic. Thw wings are Testors Nort Atlantic Purple and Tamiya green. I still need to paint the pilot and put in a dash board. Abu, this is the Flyzone (79.95) 14.5" Albi where as the previous were 12" scratch built. We had to enlarge them slightly for production to reduce the wing loading as the factory production could not duplicate my weight target. If there is any interest, I can post the paper patterns and decal layout.

Combat report Oct. 5 2010,
My latest sortie was flown over the Indiana front, I flew over the pool and began a low level ground assult, suddenly the enemy unleashed its AA Beagle which scored a direct hit on my Albatros. After considerable screaming/yelling and flalling of arms etc. I was able to get free from the beast. After wiping away the drool and yelling several more obsenities at the enemy, I need to go and make a parts order.

Barry,
You know you take this "dogfighting" thing WAY too serious!!! [sm=lol.gif].
DJ
By all means, I think many of us will be interested in your detail patterns for panels, decals, etc. - I think we've all been looking this little bird over wondering what we could get away with in modifications. I caught up with the thread over on RCGroups where you described a bit of this, along with noting that when you were done, you barely added an ounce to the total weight.
My fearless prediction is that we'll see many more of these in different schemes come springtime - albeit at the expense of some of those "other" scale projects we're supposed to be working on!!! Great - more distractions!!!
I Love It!!!!
Many thanks,
Lee McD

Attached are the paper cowl/hatch/blah blah pieces. Top piece goes on first, then the nose ring and then the front side pieces. The front side pieces over lap the others and each other in the center. come on Lee

Dave, love the FlyZone Albatros! I have it safe in its carry case box ready for the big biplane bash! I saw your online wing camo "LOZENGE pattern" and downloaded them. What do you print them on to add to the wngs like the blue and white stripped one show?
