I'm looking to build my first scale kit. i've built many sport kits in the past but now i'm looking for a true scale kit with rivits, cockpit and panel lines. What i'm asking is which manufacturer would be the best first scale kit to start with. I like P51's and Focke-Wulf Fw 190's.

that is all determined by what scale you wanna go with, and the price tag you are comfy with

Im looking for something between a 30cc and 50cc airframe. Im probably looking to spend max about $1000.00 for the airframe and landing gear. Been looking @ Yellow Aircraft and Meister Scale airframes. Anyone else have any other sugestions?

Top flight has some pretty good ones, they are wood builders kits, but you can add your rivits, panel lines etc. P51, Corsair, and p47 all in 1/5th scale

I suppose that part of what goes into your decision is how much detail do you want to put into it - how much time... Are you the 'builder' type who wants to make something that looks like it just stepped out of a museum, or perhaps something that you only care about taking to the flying field. Just something to think about....
