Just replaced a Futaba 9C with a Futaba FG8. Manual that comes with the system leaves a lot to be desired when it come to programing. I've managed to do O.K. despite the manual, however I'm down to one last problem (that I know of): how to program the dual rate 'toggle' switchs for aileron, elevator, rudder. My research says LNK menu, then Function menu but for me I run into a dead end.
Suggestions??????

Hope this helps..
Tap the MDL button, then scroll down and select Dual Rates.
Once in this menu, scroll down one 'beep' to the function - (AIL) is showing by default. Hitting return at this point will allow you to select a function...AILerons,ELEvator,RUDder.
After selecting the function, select which switch you would like to use. Scroll to the bottom of the screen, to one of the '' marks below a number. Tapping RTN will take you to the switch selection screen. Select which switch you would like to use for Dual Rates, then configure the 3 way switch so the top is 'ON', and the rest are 'OFF'. This will be the 'High' setting.
Scroll back one page to the Dual Rate setup page. Move your selected switch to the ON position...notice the arrow moves to the number you had selected at the bottom of the screen before selecting the switch.
Now you can set the High rate numbers. They start at 100%...change them up for more control movement, down for less.
Once the high rates are setup, move the switch to the full back or 'OFF' position. Select another control number at the bottom of the screen, and select the same switch. Setup the switch to be 'ON' at the back or bottom position.
Go back to the Dual Rate menu, and set up the numbers for your low rates.
When it's all done, moving the switch bottom to top will switch from low to high rates. If you want to, you can use the center position of the switch for a third (mid)rate...or else have the center position the same as low rates.
Whew! Luckily, it's a lot harder to explain than it is to do
It really is pretty quick once you get the process figured out.
Hope this helps. If you still have problems setting it up, I have found the tech support guys at Futaba very helpful. They know the programming inside and out, and seem happy to help.
