I am interested in a P-40L or late P-40F (long tail, merlin engined) project. To date, most of the ARFs, Kits, and Plans I have found have been the P-40B - E. Does anyone know of any ARFs, Kits or Plans for such? How difficult would it be for a relative noob to mod an existing kit or set of plans?

check out jerry bates. I think he goes through the L

Pretty sure the Bates plans show the long tailed N model so it should be relatively simple to back date it from there to the L or F.
