I saw a magazine article some time ago (a year or more) about making a spoked wheel using thread or string for the spokes. It was made with one continuous piece of string, so the article not only covered how to make the hub and rim, but also showed the "stringing" pattern. I can't for the life of me remember where I saw that article. Is anybody else familiar with it?

Can you direct me back to the article I was refering to, or can you explain the method? I don't think it was in Model Aviation, but it was a model airplane magazine. Sadly, that's the limit of my recall. [

Hi buddy i will make you some hubs and rims if you like there will be no charge for them i just enjoy making them please let me no iwould be more than happy to help you out reghards stefan.
Thanks, Les. Mr. Rake makes some really nice wheels (and guns). They aren't quite what I'm looking for, however. I will keep that link, though. His method of making semi-scale wheels may come in handy for some future project. I'll probably end up copying some of the outstanding wheels I've seen on this thread.
