Right gas engine for CMP Corsair?

Right gas engine for CMP Corsair?
| I have a CMP Corsair, 75 inch span. It calls for a 1.20 four stroke on web site. I noticed the ESM version is similar in size, but calls for more power. I figure ESM suggestion is probably right. So if I run gas, Should i throw in a Zenoah G-23 or a G-38? Weight difference is about 10 ounces. Not much it seems. In this plane will that be an issue? I am not even sure the G-23 will have enough power? I own both engines , so want to start with the right one. Ihave never run gas before, only nitro. Power wise (compared to a four stroke,) what does a G-23 compare to? And how about the G-38 Thanks all | |

New school thinking would say 30cc range and The dle 30 surely would be a good match. Old school thinking would say a G-38 is way to much.
But between the G-23 and G38,,
If I could fit it in the cowl without it looking terrible, and get the prop clearance, I'd go G-38, , You may find you need the weight up front anyway. Scale Radial engine planes Always need extra weight up front. Remember that turns a 18" prop

Looks like my G-23 is to small.
My G-38 is new, so I may just return it and go with the DLE 30. That way I know it will be good match.
