Default Beginner Help Required of Advance Level

Hi there,
I am an advance beginner, have flown ,trainer long ago, then low wingers successfully, need gudielines, experiences & suggestions from seniors here (i am not from US);

I am going to fly my first scale plane Texan AT6 (purchased used) but in perfect condition with OS 61fx (suggested my a senior flyer), would like to have experiences on how it flies, characteristics, cautions etc.

Secondly, i have a deal from one of seniors for SBACH 30cc goldwing rc RTF with OS GT33 (with just 7 flights), all servos (mg) installed, battery etc etc, i just have to add tx/rx n fly for $500. Seniors suggesting i shall go for it as it is a good deal and will eb good for future level of flying. I have no knowledge what soever of petrol engines/kits, shall i go for that...???

Pls remember i am just starting to go my first scale flying, so treat me accordingly...[8D].

The AT6 shouldn't be too different from the low-wing models you've previously flown. Can you tell us more about this particular AT-6 model? Is it also an ARF (almost-ready-to-fly) or was it built from a kit...and if so, what kit?

I haven't flown this model, but I have flown similar ones. I don't think you need to worry too much. However, if you've never flown a model with flaps before, I would recommend you avoid using the flaps, even for take-off and landings, until you are familiar with how the model flies without them.

Yes, no flaps, but i am confused abt its CG, appreciates some guidance on Cg relevant to this plane as the product review states 4-1/4" from leading edge, but i still cant agree and understand it.

What do you not understand exactly?

How you measure the CG?
