Check this out. http://airplanelouvers.com/
Louvers work great for created the low pressure needed to evacuate that hot air. I used them on my Triplane and they have worked very well. They look good, and serve their purpose.

The plans are veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry conservative in the CG placement. The original is a bit aft of where Fokker DVII put his but less people crash nose heavy .

Saw this one fly yesterday at the Warbird meet in Lexington KY. Looked great but needs a pilot in the 'office'! Maybe the pilot was hunkered down in the cockpit trying to get the schnitzel sandwich that he dropped.

To all Albi builders,
I suggest that you put a 3/8 cap with triangle stock on the top of the firewall. The width of the firewall and back to the bass block where the cabanes slide in. This is or I should say has become a problem on both of the original Albis. (The weight of the motor and the wonderful vibration monster of the DA - 85) Since this is open it is a weak point. I will post pictures of when I get it done.

wildbills21 thanks for the info be looking to see the pics. I did triangle everything up front both sides of the firewall, motor box to top of crutch motor box to f3 and the bass block for the fwd cabane, with 1" triangle stock. then i chopped up fiberglass cloth mixed it with finishing resin and painted everything could reach with a glue brush aft of the firewall & fwd to the back of f1. I'm sure more structure wont hurt.

I considered doing that, and still may do it.
But I just remembered that I pegged the firewall to the engine box sides with 6 bamboo skewers and yellow glue on each side.
Looking at the photos I took, the top bracing may still be needed.
I hope I can reach the engine mounting bolts from the back.
