Default Electric retract question?

I am installing a set of electric retracts into a Top Flight P-47. It says in the insructions that it is recommened to install a sparate battery and UBEC for them in case they get jammed. I am not real knowleagable on this so I was hoping someone here could make since of these for me. How would a UBEC be used with the reciever so I could install a battery just for the retracts? Any and all help is really appriciated.

The retracts are from Hobby King and they have a 5mm pin for the struts to attach to. I just do not understand how I am suppose to use the UBEC they suggest with my receiver. Here is the link to the retracts.
