Default In-cowl muffler solution for a saito 125 in a P-40E (top flite kit)

Can anyone suggest a solution for keeping my cowl uncut (as far as an ugly muffler protruding through it) in regards to using a saito 125 in a top flite P-40 kit? The manual shows a flexible muffler running completely inside the cowl- but this is for an OS engine. So I guess I'm looking for anyone's knowledge about possible flexible mufflers for the saito 125 OR another solution to I can keep my scale lines.

The flexible exhaust pipe works. Used it on a H9 P-40. The bottom back of the cowl is open. I used a 90deg header, then about a 4" flex exhaust, then the muffler on the end of that. I made bracket to support the muffler at the flex joint connection. Then I painted thinned (with denature alcohol) JB Weld on the fuse where the muffler ran close to it as a heat shield. Worked like a champ. Flew for years like that.

I've experienced short life span of flexible exhaust tubes, at least for OS engines, they crack in a relatively short time, even when a support bracket is made for the muffler.

RC Specialties has the goods to help keep the muffler inside the cowl, check them out.
Their Turbo Muffler will also give the Saito a little extra power: http://www.rcspecialties.net/
