Default Smith Miniplane plans quarter scale?

Anyone know where I can get accurate plans for a Smith Miniplane in quarter scale?

Thanks Steve, I knew about the half scale but didn't know they also sold quarter scale plans till I saw your post.

I'll wait on the offer above first. Exciting!

I've got the plan and the cowl. Just in case anyone else was considering this, it turns out the designer reduced the width of the fuselage and the cowl, apparently thinking it would help it fly better with the two strokes of the day. The result is that it is not really scale, and a 90 four stroke does not fit inside the cowl, as it would if it were scale. I don't know if the half scale version was done the same way, but I would definitely check before buying.

Why is it so hard to get an unadulterated Smith Miniplane? It is a perfectly good design as is. And when designers sell plans purported to be scale, why do they not reveal deviations? Especially when they are selling cowls?

I've decided to offer this for sale. As noted above, the fuselage and cowl were narrowed for performance. Side view looks accurate to scale. The cowl is 7.5 inches wide at its widest point on the inside and will accommodate up to an 82 four stroke (but my 95V would require cutting a hole).

I paid $50 plus separate shipping for each item (plans are rolled). I will sell both for $45 and I will pay the shipping for both within the US. Let me know if interested. If nothing here in a couple of days, I will put offer online in another way. Photos available on request. Jim
