I read an article in one of the mags recentley about scaling differant areas of a model such as area and wieght but for the life of me can't find it again. Does anyone remember what Mag and month this was in?

Flieder, you dont have to worry about scaling the weight cause you can't do it because scale weight is way heavy for our models, but you can re-size any area to your liking and make it 1/6, 1/5, 1/4 scale, what ever you want. You multiply the full scale length and width by your chosen scale. Lets say your wing span on the full size is 30 feet and you want to make a 1/5 scale model. 1/5 scale is 20% of 30 feet and this equals 6 feet or 72 inches. If it were 1/4 scale or 25% of the full scale it would be 25% times 30 feet or 7.5 feet or 90 inches. You can do the same for the width and all the other dimensions.. hope this helps BobH.
