Default Adding antenna

I want to add the radio antenna that mounts on the top of the fuselage behind the canopy on a P-51. Problem is the plane is an ARF (85") and I don't want to cut into it to reinforce the mounting location. The antenna is about 3/8" thick and 5" long. I am wondring if I just peel the covering off and CA it to the fuselage if that will be enough to get wind pressure from vlowing it off. I also think there is a support piece under the sheeting at that spot, so I could also put a couple of pins in the bottom of the antenna down into the fuselage. Any comments?

Your kind of on your own on this one. To attach it securely you'll have to get it into the wood. Just be careful on how much of the covering material you remove. Put a photo here when you get it the way you want it to let use know how you made out. Good luck & have fun!!! [&:]
