Chic, I do know there was at one time a fairly decent size Staggerwing set of plans avail. Let me dig into my papers and try to find out who it was by.

I do know the retracts were a self made deal took sone creative work to get a set in the fuse, but could be done.

Let me see what I can come up with

Chic, many years ago MAN had a set of plans. i do not think there are avil. Maybe shoot MAN an e-mail to find out.

Ed Novak of Vintage RC plans had a 64" spanStaggerwing at one time.

RCM did a set some years back as well think it was around the 60-70" span

Nick Ziroli has future plans for a giant Staggerwing but will not be released anytime soon. Brief info is on his site http://www.ziroliplans.com under new products.

Back around 80-82 Air Age Publishers of MAN did a book called "Giant Step" : a book of giant rc aircraft. In the book was a construction article on a 96" 1/4 scale that was 34lbs the builder was Owen Morris. This could be related to the one MAN had plans for ????

Hope this helps in your search

IMHO, that MAN set would have been the best "past" set of plans avail. The book Air Age did refrenced this airplane it was a really decent design......Not sure I'd pay the E-bay price though My $$$ is going to Nick Sr. when he gets them done I can wait.

RCM Illustrated Plans Guide dtd October 1963 Plan # 630. Although very hard to read, it seems to me to be 1/4 scale, if so, the span would be 8' or 96"
