Eindecker full-flying elevator?

Eindecker full-flying elevator?
I'd like to alter Balsa USA's sport scale Eindecker III kit to include a more scale full-flying rudder and elevator. But I'm concerned about how these modifications might effect the flyability of the a/c. I don't see any real problem with the rudder which I'm planning on slightly reducing in size and sticking to the scale "comma" shape vs. the "Big Stick" shape of the kit's rudder. However, I'm really wondering how having a rear elevator tail surfact that rotates up and down will affect flight.
My goal with this kit is to make is not to try to do a full scale project (it does after all have alierons instead of wing-warping) but rather to minimize the grossly not-scale aspects of the kit. This includes:
1. Building up the rear fuselage with stick construction vs. the full balsa skin
2. Building up the tail surfaces vs. solid balsa
3. Full flying rudder and elevator
4. Shorten the nose moment slightly (if possible)
5. Add a more scale-like tail skid (with somewhat hidden stearable wheel linked to rudder)
6. Pull-pull controls
Any advice would be welcome. Thanks.

There IS a well illustrated conversion of the Balsa USA kit converted to have a "full flying set" of tail surfaces at that site, complete with the "pull-pull" rigging needed to get it all to work...just check it all out, AT that site, and you SHOULD have what you need there to get that Balsa USA "Decker" all "decked out"
LOL with a "full flying set" of tail surfaces!
ONE thing to watch out for, though...if your club provides "tail forks" to stick into the ground for aircraft restraint for engine startup, like MY club at http://www.wingbusters.org/ does for its members...you will HAVE to make up a MAIN LANDING GEAR style restraint, that allows you to slide the Eindecker's main gear cross axles forward into against a stop instead, as "tail forks" are NOT the sort of aircraft starting restraint you would EVER want to use with a full flying elevator setup...the chance of DAMAGE
to the "flying elevator" is just TOO great from a "tail fork" restraint! I'm planning to build a full blown Fokker M.5K/MG scratchbuilt Giant Scale Eindecker someday, and I KNOW I'll need a special restraint for THAT one that the landing gear axles will slide forward into...and there's NOTHING in that style of restraint that will EVER touch the tail in any way!
But check out that site...and remember to AVOID "tail fork" style aircraft restraints to hold back your Eindecker when starting it up after it gets its "full flying tail surface setup"...there's just TOO much chance of tail damage
with that sort of restraint for such a tail setup!

Pipe, thanks for the advise! This is the very site that got me thinking about the modifications! The kit is quite a bit more "sport" scale than I had imagined it would be. Still a great kit but more like a semi-scale Big Stik shape.
