Hello scale builders,
Does anyone have any color photos of the late Clancy Speal's Pitts S1-S? The N number of the plane was: N2HT. My internet research has only yielded a photo of the wrecked plane. Bob Banka does not have a photo pack neither. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Andrew

Hi Andrew,
I found my photo of Clancy Speal's Pitts. I think that I have attached atleast one copy. If not, let me know and I'll send you one directly. It looks like it has enough detail to help you, since it has the entire left side of the fuselage and parts of both the upper and lower surfaces of the wings (of course that assumes that the upper and lower wings were painted the same). Good luck.

Ray,
Thank you very much for the photo! I can't believe it's so hard to find more photos of Clancy's plane since he flew in so many airshows. I will check with the airport in MD that you suggested also.
Thanks again,
Andrew

Hey guys, my name is donald. I grew up with my grandfather C. David Austin since i was 5 yrs old in Latrobe PA. Every day i had to go to the airport and help my grandfather build is two Mig 15's that he imported from Poland or teach me a thing or two on the Great Lakes biplane that was used in airshow. But what i can say is that i loved my hanging around our family friend Clancy Speal, which is why im writing this. he used to take me up and do his stunts over Arnold Palmer airport in PA. (Westmoreloand county airport back in the day) and i loved it... Until we all saw him tragically crash. If you need any pictures of his plane, or autographs or anything for that, i can get in contact with my grandfather and see what we can dig up.

I am selling an personalized, autographed promo card of the late (very nice) Clancy Speal. On the front is Clancy, flying (over/near Latrobe Airport), inside his Pitts S1-S, N2HT Plane.
It was signed in 1996, at the Arnold Palmer Airport Airshow, shortly before the Regatta in Pittsburgh, before he died.
The reverse side has informational-statistical data, promoting Lycoming, and their engines and parts.
It is reluctantly for sale, by me. I had opportunity to spend a little time with Mr. and Mrs. Speal at the air show, right before he flew. A mutual family friend had a hangar and a plane at Latrobe.
Reluctantly selling it...only because I need the money. I'm a USAF vet with health problems.
It will be for sale on Ebay, shortly.

Lol, I still have my RC Guys Pitts S1-S in a rare ARC version NIB after all these years and I plan to use Clancy’s scheme on the covering and finish. It’s for sentimental reasons….he was the first Pitts pilot I ever saw perform when I was around 12 years old, and it started my love affair with Pitts Specials.
