Default Piano Hinges

I am looking for a method of simulating piano hinges. I have done this in the past for short hinges, but the ones I need now are 8" long, times 4. 2 on each side of the cowling. I had found some at Micro Mark, but when I went back for more they had discontinued the item.

Can you be more specific. A Google for Jerry Nelson turned up bunches of movie actor links.

Thanks; I found it. Google piano hinges did the trick.

Les, to simulate piano hinges (I didn't know that's what they were called) on one of the panels on my EIII I took 1/16 styrene covered wire and rolled a single-edge razor back and forth across at regular intervals. This creates the space between the hinge sections. Then I painted the whole thing aluminum to match the panel and then just glued it along one edge. The effect is good but I suppose probably not as good as using the real thing -- if they fit.

Thanks Abu. I will have to try that. Most of the ones that I have simulated have been functional, but not all of them. I like the idea. On this plane, only two of them need to be functional, and maybe only one.
