Recently I've been doing some research on the full-scale Brunner-Winkle Bird. I'm thinking it would make a great R/C scale model. Anyone have any knowledge of plans that might exist for this airplane?

Kewl airplane, I've been collecting info on it for years but there is not much out there. John Ponds old time plans listed 4 plans around 17-25". And he lists 2 plans at 68". I bought one of the 68" ones and I would describe it as spartan at best. It shows a couple wing ribs, and the turtle deck formers and thats about it. Oh, it's for the Hisso powered version not the radial powered one. I believe all John's plans were donated to the AMA so you would have to write them to see if you can get a set.
My scale reference guide from RCM lists an R/C version at 68" that was published in MAN december 1968.

Can't help with plans, but here's another full scale reference: [link=http://www.goldenageair.org/biplanerides.htm]Grimes' Bird[/link] Neat plane! I've been there with my father in his Great Lakes a few times and have seen the Bird as well as most of their fleet flying.
