Default finding decals

Hi Guys,
My late father framed up a 1/7 scale Curtiss Jenny in 1998, I`m just getting around to finishing it now. I`m looking for fuel-proof decals ( 4'' high black letters US ARMY, and 71/2 to 8" dia. with stars in the middle.) Tower sells assorted sizes by Major Decals, but not that size. Do you know where I can find these decals? Thanks again for your help.

Tower does not offer all Major Decals offers. I'm sure they have what you need. In there catalog they have the Star @ 7-1/2 inches #105 as far as the U.S Army they have a 4-3/16 # 150/150A its a quater scale set for a Stearman but they might sell you the part you need. anyway here's a phone # 413-525-4110. They don't to my knowledge have a web sight. Since I misplaced the price page out of my catalog I don't have prices. Get the wter transfer they work great. Any thing else you might need feel free to ask. Mike

If all else fails, get a set of the decals you want in any size. Then scan them into your computer and use a photo editor (or in a pinch a word processor) to scale them to the size you want.

Do a test print on regular paper to be certain of the scale, then print them out on water slide decal paper. A word of advice - printers do not print white, so you you may need both white and clear decal paper. http://www.beldecal.com/ I have done this for many decals and have excellent results. For clear coating the decal, I have found that the following all work well and are good to 10% nitro or better - LusterKote clear, Ultracote clear and WATER BASE polyurethane.

Hope this helps.
