Default Scale pilots

Can anyone tell me where I can get a 1/7 scale pilot (full bodied and articulated (if possible)) as I am going to build a Top Flite Sea Fury in very near future.

Top Flite used to make a full body pilot for their Gold Edition kits. They have since quit producing them, however I have seen them for sale here on RCU in the market place. I know they come in pieces and you have to put him together, but they are good looking when they are finished. Good Luck, Dave

Check with Vailey Aviation(sp?). I bought one from them for my TF FW, and it was a nice pilot figure, and reasonably priced. I think I had to get the 1/8 scale to fit in the cockpit of my bird. The figures I think are Officer and Gentleman figures, if I remember correctly.

Hi there,

We do a 1/6th RAF pilot for the correct era, but it is 12" in height. As I convert these to leightweight , and tailor make them, so I can shorten the arms and legs a little to fit, if you can give me dimensions.

These pilots are based on the elite/dragon/21st century pilots, but by the time we have finished with them, their weight comes down from 14 ozs to 3.5 ozs, with either floppy body, or wire bendy covered in foam so you can bend them into a pose, and they won't flop about.

We also fit servos to either turn the head with the aileron channel, so when you do final checks before taxying, the pilot looks out to check the wings! We now do another version that raises the head via the elevator channel as well as turning, then a brand new version that also raises his right hand - ideal for the jet jocky's.

We can also supply parachutes and irvin type leather jackets. Have a look at our web site www.scaleaircrewsupplies.co.uk (link via RCU), and email from there, and I'll send you detailed data sheets.

cheers

Mark
