RE: INFO ON THE AERO COMANDER!
The only 80"+ Aero Commander I am aware of is the 117" span "Shrike" from Palmer Plans.
Precision Cut Kits offers a laser cut wood kit
My Palmer Commander is electric powered and weighs 28,5 lbs.

RE: INFO ON THE AERO COMANDER!
The plane is built from Palmer plans, but I decided to do the wood cutting myself. This due to high shipping costs of a wood kit to Sweden.
I have built a 1/5-scale Howard DGA from a PCK kit. The parts fit and wood quality was excellent.

RE: INFO ON THE AERO COMANDER!
There was a company called Modaire in central California that made a kit for this plane.

Looks like they are selling the molds for the kits of their product lineup.

RE: INFO ON THE AERO COMANDER!
Good morning, all! I'm pleased to announce that I have purchased all of the molds from Modaire Industries, and I estimate that I will begin making kits this winter (Dec. 2006). I will be making the Modaire Aerocommander, F7F Tigercat, F-82 twin Mustang, and a P-51H, plus a few others TBA. I am still finalizing details of my new company (such as a NAME!), website, pricing, shipping, and other details, but the company will be located in NW Iowa. I do no plan to alter Charlie's kits in any way at this time (fiberglass fuselages and foam core wings). In the future, however, I may offer other kits or variations, keeping in with the theme that Modaire Industries is famous for.... BIG TWINS! Please feel free to contact me here if you have any questions or suggestions, and I'll be back online as soon as I have any updated information to share.
Best,
Jim Oosterhuis
