Default screen mesh

hey guys, i'm looking for screen mesh like window screen on your house windows, but scaled down. sorta like what you see in your air fiters, or inline gas fiters on your models. i want to make screens to fit my boat windows for yet another scale detail. i've seen brass, but i want silver.

thanks,
george

You can use brass and paint it silver. I know that the HO railroad guys have very small screen. Or you can look in some of the Craft stores. I have found some materials there.

I used to get this from the auto parts store. It was filter screen for elderly automobile fuel pumps and settling bowls. Came in brass and stainless steel. Most modern places will not have this, thus you are going to have to look into some elderly business. Egge Machine of Santa Fe Springs Calif. usually carries this too, but then you have to mail order it.

Comes in about five different gauge thicknesses.

You can also go to a Michals(?) craft store. They have a very good selection of screen sizes and weaves.

Go to McMaster-Carr's web site www.mcmaster.com and do a search for wire mesh. If they don't have it, you don't need it!
