I'm carving and sanding the horner tips on my Skylane, and have seen several wingtip configurations of full scale on the web. I've seen nav w/ strobe, clear lenses in the front for extra landing lights with nav, and a couple of others. Did the 182 ever have just the nav lights (red and green) without a strobe? It appears from pictures that the nav light is located at the farthest point on the tip, and down a little below half. Is that correct?

I have a full scale 182, the nav lites are about eight or nine inches back from the leading edge, and yes many 182s do not have strobes, I retro fitted them to my plane
