Hi guys, I need some help.
At the swap meet, yesterday, I found the little .26 4 stroke I'd been looking for and in an attempt to sweeten the deal, the seller through in an old K&B .65 Sportster. I know what to do with the .26, and figured I'd just shelve the .65. Then I got to thinkin' (dangerous) motor's in great shape, starts and runs fine, why not do something with it.
Looked up the threads on this engine and found out it's no barn burner but solid, dependable, and able to swing a big flat prop. I presume I need something floaty in the 7-9 lb range. I'd prefer something kind of aerobatic like a clipped wing Cub or a Decathelon.
I've got plenty of experience with 3D and pattern stuff in the .46 size and down including electric. I'm kind of yearning to learn to fly something that flies more like an everyday real plane but still capable of aerobatics (of the clipped wing Cub or Decathelon type)
The World Models 50" Cub will be for the .26. Can you guys give me some suggestions for the .65? I read in one of the threads that the .65 Sportster should be used like a 4-stroke 60-70. I have no experience or knowledge of the planes in the 60 size catagory. Please help! Scale was my first thought but planes like the Dragon Lady or the 4* get my blood pumping. I'm grateful for any suggestions.
Randy
