Thanks guys.
The bottle was, of course, added, sized and blurred digitally. Other than that, it's all fo realz. I knew I'd find a use for it when friends were wondering "why are you shooting pictures of that green thing?" while at an airshow in 2002.
I've posted it before, but here's one of my favorite "retouched" shots from this group of images.

Hallo Crashmaster !!!
The F-18 Gear ist the best ,the Modelers ever have seen, and it is hard to post a Foto of an own Work, after your fantastic specialised skills.
I decided to send a Foto of my own Model, but after I´have seen your pics ,I do not like to be the first to do this.

Here is a scale picture of a jet aircraft, shot at our club's 2004 jet meeting. Slightly different angel. I like the colors though, very realistic, I find. And I don't think that the dimensions give the model away in front of that background, what do you think?

Yes, and we were very scale-like shocked, when it happened. Cause it was a dry day and that field started to burn about 50 yards around in no time... scale fire engine sound in the air and all...

Well, we made it through the first 100 pages in fine style. That is a difficult task for most threads.
Hope the next hundred are filled with equallly amazing images...or did we "drain the pool" filling up the first 100?
We shall see.
Cool thread.

Off and on over the past few days I've viewed every page of (and the vast majority of the surviving pictures in) this thread. I have to say I am in awe of both the modeling skills on display in nearly every pic and the photograpic skills exhibited in many. When they combine, it is absolutely striking.

Hey you know, there aren't that many flying pictures that can really pull it off. They always tend to look like models. Not because of detailing, a muffler sticking out or other trivia. just simply because they been pictured in a position that most of us would never really see the full sized version in.
The second P38 shot above is completely the opposite. A straight forward, wings level flyover that really looks convincing. The model looks big and heavy. The shadowed under surfaces adding to the feeling of mass. Great pic.
