RE: Best scale photo!
Here's a picture of Ivan Pettigrew's Short Solet that "Mrs.Tracon" (Beverly) my better half took at the May Chilliwack float fly earlier this year...
This picture has been featured on the cover of "Model Aviation Canada" and just recently in "FLY RC" on the "Snap Shot" page...
Enjoy,
Sam

Wow ! This is some model in a great picture. I think it ranks with that Corsair coming in to land in Hawaii - again with misty mountains as a backdrop. Great model - great picture ! And yes, can we know more about the model - size, engines, radio, flying characteristics ...... thanks. MalcolmL

Here's one I took at Scale Masters a few weeks ago. It's not a prize-winner (shot angle is a little high), but the plane has a great ramp presence:

Im proud to be able to post one of my own in this thread finally .. this is a 114" Ziroli C-45 I picked up a few weeks ago. It is powered by 2 G-38s, and flown on a Futaba 9Z. I got 3 flights on on this plane today at Floyd Bennet field in Brooklyn , NY. Definitely a different flying plane than the jets i'm used to .. loops and rolls were fun !. Here’s some scale looking photos on the ground .. next time i need some flight shots [8D]

Hello guys, this is a really nice threat - all those great models.
Something very different and probably the smallest true scale jet ever is this one
Cheers

That's a pretty bold statement that I'm hoping was more of an opinion.
Nice outlining in Photoshop on the first image posted. The closeup detail shots look like the rivets are poked into the skin with a sharp point.
And all the recesses are filled with black and then the surface wiped down.
This is what leads me to believe it's a small plastic model. Shots of the undercarriage would tell you right away.
Fun pics though.

Let's see if this works... I shot these the other day at Fort Bend RC's field just west of Houston. I don't have much info on the plane other that it was built from a Top-Flite kit and it has 80+" wingspan.

For the Super Sabre :
yes it is a real flying model for Wren MW 44 turbine power - not a display model !
It has a wingspan of about 1.18 metres and a length of 1.44 metres, scale exactly 1/10
It is an all composite model and comes out of the mold with all these detailing. Original plug was all metal covered and there are about 30.000 rivets - handmade !
The detailing alone took months. Together with a new paint there is no difference to the real thing. Will make another one in the SEA camo scheme with heavy weathering soon - metal will shine through where paint is gone.
