Here's a thread about Dave Patrick Models.
It's not good, so if you don't like bad news, you may not want to read it.

That is too bad that he has not only ruined his customer base but to sell substandard product on top of it.....
Some people like suicide I guess.

Here's some more bad news, I ordered a Dave Patrick Models Blue Head 1.80 Glow motor in June. It's now December and I still Haven't got it. They weren't answering the phone for 3 weeks and when I finally get thru to Sandy she has no idea when the motor will be in stock. I thought DPM was a better company than that. makes me cautious about after sale service on the motor if it's ever needed. I am building a Team Duster 100" Air Tractor and Hollis Calvert is pretty specific that this is the motor for the plane. Does anyone have any idea where I could get one of these motors?? Any help would be appreciated!!

Jeff248,
I'm sure that a Moki or Mark 1.80 would work as well for your application as the DPM Blue Head engine. The only significant difference is in the compression ratio allowing 15% nitro fuel in the Blue Head engine whereas the Moki and Mark engines run on fuels with 0% to 5% nitro. Frankly, 15% nitro fuel is more expensive so the DPM engine can be a tad more expensive to operate. You should be able to locate a good Moki or Mark engine on the RCU Marketplace or on eBay.
Good luck and Merry Christmas!
