I'm building a Jerry Bates Plans Bearcat. I'm working on the hinging of the Ailerons, Elevators, and Rudder. This is my first plane build from plans and was wondering if someone who has built this plane has an estimate of the control throws for each surface. I want to make sure that while I am test mounting them, I can achieve at least the range necessary.

Is there some kind of rule of thumb for this kind of stuff?
