Default RAM Mars Beacon installation

I am putting a lighting system on my Great Planes Cessna 182 ARF. I have installed the RAM Mars beacon, but does anyone have installation tips for the GIANT red lens cover it comes with? The NAV lights have little red and green covers that snap right into place, why is the beacon not like this? Any ingenious simple ideas would be great. I tend to be OCD and overthink this stuff and screw it up.

UHHH...because it would look rediculously small. The RAM Mars beacon is too large for a .40-sized model.

I would just like to know how you guys installed that large red cap to the light, cause it doesn't just snap on. Any tips?

I installed it on a 1/4 scale supercub. I built up a base of balsa and filler, that the lens cap is tack glued to. I then wraped a 1/16th inch strip of foil tape around the base of the lens to hide the joint and make it look like a metal bezel-if that makes any sense. The best idea I can give you is to look for some pictures of rotating becon mounts on GA aircraft to get ideas of whta you are trying to duplicate.

Hope that was of some assistance.
