Default zero

Is a completely (no surface, airfoil or decalage changes from scale) scale Zero as good a flyer as I keep hearing? Sixty size, about 62" span? Thanks in advance.

P.S. I build very light.

Two planes that have a great reputation: P47 and Zero....not too many poor flying birds in that flock!

Dave Platt wrote that he felt that the fullscale Zero posessed every quality desired in an RC model with the exception of one...The nose is short requiring ballast to balance it when using a lightweight glow engine. Everything else, he figured, is perfect.
I've got a full Platt Zero kit in my basement with scale retracts, pilot...everything...I'll build it one day.

The CMP .50 size Zero is a good flyer, but it has very high wing loading. I tend to land mine a little fast, adn hopefulyl at the end of the roll out, not end up on it's back. Moving the mains forward to the leading edge has helped, but on rough field, sometimes it's not enough (even with high rate elevator). The short nose meant a lot of weight on teh firwall to balance it. But bottom line, I really enjoy mine.
