Default Paint

Has any one tried the H2O spray paint by Krylon. It's latex and a clear spray of poly should work great. I have used latex in the can and poly but not haveing to use a spray gun would be nice.

Jetranger,

I hope someone answers your question. I am about to cover a Sig Citabria with white Solartex and will be painting trim on the wings and fuse with another color. I am told that latex works the best, therefore the H2O spray paint would seem to be a good choice.

I usually spray my latex with either an HVLP and a single stage Badger airbrush for detail work.

I tried a can of it and was disappointed. The paint ran very easily. Maybe it was a bad can, but I am going to stick to the HVLP and airbrush.

Since you paint over Solartex use the Krylon plastickote (for plastic) instead. This type of paint has a very nice nozzle design, sprays evenly and hard to get over runs and dries fast too. The H2O from Krylon (water based) is much tougher to spray as it sprays on heavy and very easy to get over runs and longer to dry. DP
